“Días Locos” – Interactive Game for McDonald’s Spain

Role: Lead Product Manager | Ideation, Technical Direction & Execution
During my time leading digital innovation at McDonald’s Spain, I created and launched Días Locos—a fully interactive, seasonal game within the mobile app designed to drive daily engagement and in-store conversion using Spring and Autumn as a topic. Definitely a challenge since this season is not related to discounts like Christmas, for example.
🌼 In spring, users had to catch falling flowers in real time by tapping them on screen.
🍁 In autumn, we brought the game back—with falling leaves instead.
These campaigns relied on the feature to launch nation wide

Unlike traditional animations, this wasn’t a pre-recorded sequence. It was a live, dynamic experience, where objects moved unpredictably and user interaction genuinely shaped the outcome. That made it accessible, playful, and addictive.
These campaigns relied on the feature to launch nationwide marketing efforts. Multiple agencies, production teams, and media companies had already created and scheduled material referencing the game. The pressure to deliver a high-quality, stable feature on time was extremely high—and critical to the success of the broader campaign.
